To be clear I would recommend this resort all things considered. If you're on a budget or if you have children the all inclusive could be worthwhile but if you're a couple on vacation I highly recommend experiencing the many restaurants Aruba has to offer. There is no need to get the all inclusive in Aruba given the variety of the restaurants and the quality of the food. For those reading this review, we were told that the restaurant will be completely rebuilt by April 2016 (I can confirm the frame of the building was half compete in early Feb 2016). I wasn't aware this had occurred and it is unlikely we would have stayed at this resort had I known. While I understand they can't control such accidents I was no less disappointed that it was the case. Unfortunately the restaurant on the private island had burned down in Oct of 2015. Typically I wouldn't go back to the same hotel twice (to experience variety) but it's hard to pass up the private island. I preferred the Marina over the ocean suites because its far livelier at the Marina at night than at the Ocean Suites (perhaps because OS is more family related).
This was my second stay at Renaissance - the first in 2015 at the Ocean Suite and this trip at the Marina.
